Had to google what is millet, occurred it's a grain very often used in Russian cuisine to make an amazing morning porridge. Just use milk and pumpkin and some sugar. I love it! But, I think there exist different types of millet, so may be the one you have is not the one we use for our porridge. I've recently discovered quinoa also!
